A Helpful tip from Nina:

Remember that we felines have acute hearing and as a result loud, unexpected noises can give us a fright. Fireworks on the Fourth of July really are tops for scaring us!

Keep us and all your other pets indoors. Dogs, especially, as they physically become terrified. Cats tend to hide fear expressions, but we’ll still charge under the bed when the noise begins! Make sure all the door flaps are closed so we can’t run out.

If you can, try to keep us distracted from the noise. Turn on some music or have the television running. Better yet, stream one of our favorite “Chasing the Mouse” games on the computer! It’ll help keep our minds off the loud ruckus going on at the neighbor’s!   We’ll all be feline fine if you do!
