Have you ever tried taking a picture of a cat in costume? Let’s go back a step, Have you ever tried to get a costume on a cat? Looking at cute pictures online doesn’t begin to tell the story behind the scenes!! It’s a virtual struggle from beginning to end!
Kittens are the worse! No sooner do you manage to get the outfit on and reach for the camera than the costume is already torn off and being shredded by small teeth and claws! Once more you put it on, a bit worse for the wear 
and tear, and the kitten starts rolling around on the floor to get it off. The scenario repeats itself with unusual variations as the costumes go flying off the small furry bodies! One-handed pictures become the norm as the battle for the perfect photo continues between human and baby beast!
Adult cats are more sedate. They will sort of tolerate the putting on of the costume only to flop over on their side and refuse to budge. Coaxing them to stand up is like righting a train, that has 
flipped over, back onto the track. When they do condescend to stand up it’s only to lower the front of their bodies to the floor and then back up at full speed until they hit a wall while trying to drag off the offending outfit. In the meantime the one-handed camera is desperately trying to get that accidental good picture – to no avail!
By the end I felt as if I had taken hundreds, no thousands of pictures to get two satisfactory ones, just in time for Halloween!
What can I say, was it worth it? In frazzled disarray I say, for the viewer it was…

Very entertaining. I loved the bloopers. They were so natural! I hope you rewarded those cats with some treats for putting up with all that torture. They probably wondered what they did to deserve that or maybe wondering what happened to your mind. You cannot be sure what an animal thinks. Very amusing. Loretta

I loved the bloopers. They had me laughing at the antics these cats/kittens went through to get out of their outfits. Was this an all-day event with costumes? Probably and you also probably didn’t get a ‘cat’ nap as a reward! Too cute and thanks for the laughs, at your expense of course!! 🙂
